Managing Operations – 2 to 3 days

Who is interested in this programme?

This programme will be tailored for High, middle and front line management levels of the organisation.

Objectives

Manage Operations introduces production and operations management, the business function responsible for creating goods and services according to the entreprise Business Model. 

Production concepts and techniques are being applied not to manufacturing concerns as well as to a wide range of service industries, both within the private and the public (SOE) sectors, with potential applications to non profit organisations. 

Putting in perspective the status of the organisation, as well as its fundamental missions and vision, the programme will consider the challenges resulting from global presence through value and supply chain necessities.

Importance is given to decision making and Total Quality Management tools and techniques.

Manage Operational Budgets & Financial Plans – 2 days

(This programme is designed in continuity to the Managing Operations programme)

Who is interested in this programme?

This programme aims at middle and (high) front line management levels of the organisation, working in small and large private or public sectors’ business environments and not for profit organisations.

Objectives

This programme aims at ensuring that managers prepare, plan and use financial resources effectively,  in accordance with their operational, and/or project needs. 

This is done by ensuring access to budgets and ongoing monitoring expenditure against the budgets. 

Manage Innovation Through Projects – 3 days

Who is interested in this programme?

This programme applies to middle and (high) front line managers, working in small and large private or public sectors’ business environments and not for profit organisations, with responsibilities that extend across the organisation or across significant parts of large organisations. 

Because projects are factors of change and innovation, Project Managers need to work and communicate with Senior Management of their organisation and critical stakeholders. It takes a structured approach to change and projects management and applies to people with solid work experience and organisational knowledge. 

Objectives

This programme aims at understanding developing and implementing powerful tools and techniques that experienced project management professionals rely on every day. 

The participants will develop strategies and  techniques to increase the probability of project success and profitability by with utilising appropriate project planning, control, reporting, and closure tools. 

They will also become proficient at recruiting project team members and empowering them to succeed. They will understand the stages of team development, in particular through a PCM approach. They will also gain skills in developing and motivating team members.

The programme is also aiming at projects from the often divergent point of views of both project owners and commercial contractors output oriented versus public contracts and their long-term sustainable outcome/impact oriented purposes.
